Diesel Technician/Heavy Duty Mechanic — PM Shift Interstate Fleet Service | Full-Time | $16–$25/hr (based on experience) Monday–Friday · 3:00 PM–11:30 PM | 12-Bay Heated Shop
We’re hiring an experienced Diesel Technician to join our fleet maintenance team on the PM shift. You’ll work in a modern, heated 12-bay shop — not a random walk-in service center. We run a dedicated fleet, which means you get to know the equipment, build real expertise, and troubleshoot smarter over time. Stable work, consistent hours, and a team that invests in your growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and clear engine, ABS, and transmission fault codes
- Computer diagnostics and electrical system repair
- Federal DOT inspections
- Brake service and replacement
- Suspension repair
- Hub, axle, and drivetrain repair
- Tire repair and replacement
- Preventive maintenance and fluid services
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable mechanic experience (automotive, heavy duty, or other transportation repair)
- Basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
Preferred/A Plus:
- 2+ years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, PACCAR, or Mack engines
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools: Cummins Insite, Quickserve, Davie4, or Mack PTT
- ASE certifications (especially Diesel Engines, Brakes, or Drivetrain — T2, T4, T6)
- Diesel Technology degree or certificate
- CDL Class A or B (not required, but a plus for road testing)
